Did you know Heart Disease is the leading cause of death in both men and women?

Fact; Cardiovascular disease causes the death of 1 and 3 women each year.

Only 44% of women recognize that heart disease is there greatest heath threat.

51.9% of high blood pressure deaths, otherwise known as hypertension or the “silent killer,” are in women, and out of all women, 57.6% of Black females have hypertension — more than any other race or ethnicity.


On average, men are prone to developing heart disease 10 years earlier than women. Coronary heart disease impacts approximately 18.2 million Americans ages 20 and above, leading to nearly 366,000 deaths in 2017. On average, someone dies of CVD every 34 seconds in the U.S. According to the 2024 statistical update, 46.7% of U.S. adults have high blood pressure or the "Silent Killer". Yet, 38% those with high blood pressure are unaware that they have it. In the past 10 years, the age-adjusted death rate from high blood pressure increased 65.6% and the actual number of deaths rose 91.2%.


Cardiovascular deaths include deaths from coronary heart disease (40.3%), stroke (17.5%), other minor CVD causes combined (17.1%), high blood pressure (13.4%), heart failure (9.1%) and diseases of the arteries (2.6%).
